Cool RSS

to write a post about the cool tools of RSS gathering for a long time, today has prompted me to finally appear cool site: PostRank (and www.postrank.com / readers. htm), which is part of a larger system assessment feeds and links. Are evaluated from the RSS links on the basis of several popular sites, and click on the links ( PostRank: How it works .) What's interesting work (you could say a little work) for excavation :

In addition, the set is also a Firefox plugin that integrates with Google Reader and it shows in his note to each entry in the PostRanku.

Another important tool is Page2RSS . Based CHANGES website, it generates a single entry feeds. After entering the address we get the address of an RSS feed, you can add to your reader. If something changes on the typed page, we'll get the information. For what it might be useful: tracking page that does not have an RSS feed ( example, page editor, who probably will not have a version 1.0 ); tracking favorites or user-added links on the site, which has no such functionality (almost Web3.0, recently fell to dig up such a proposal); check or Google Celebrates a chance. The good thing about this solution is that the site has generated permanent address of the channel and thus, if you previously entered the same address, it can be seen eg when a party has not changed. But there is no perfect solution: Page2RSS not cope with very long parties (for example, wanted to monitor a large list of announcements changing irregularly 1-2 times per week.). Similar but slightly more advanced tools in this category: Feedity (I test and it seems that copes better with large files, provide additional options after logging in, such as memorizing the channel settings and editing) and dapper (this is nicer and offers a lot of cool features, but virtually every real test is suspended, so unless you have to wait.)

next program is RSS2PDF . Used to replace entries from the RSS feeds on a PDF document (such as ). PDF has a table of contents and contains the current entries, suitable for example to take the train (as you do not like the offline Google Reader), or print. It also gives us the possibility to generate such a document based on Google News. More
